Hilton Garden Inn New York/Manhattan-Chelsea

Great location, 4 minute walk to two different subway stations, to Times Square in ten minutes. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean. Nice touch to have the flavoured ice water and fruit in the lobby in the afternoons. Check in and out were quick. Liked that they held our bags for free before our room was ready. Air conditioning worked well (too well!) Loved having a good sized mini fridge and microwave for leftovers, this is important to us when travelling. Queen sized beds were nice, better than doubles!

This hotel is in a great location. Very easy to find if arriving from Penn Station & is close to subway. Always felt safe in the area, even when coming back late at night. The staff is exceptional. Always greeted me when I entered or left the hotel. I arrived earlier than the check in time & they had a room ready for me. They had freshly made lemonade each day I was there...very nice touch especially since it was HOT during my stay. I think I saw cookies at the reception desk but I never grabbed one. The bed & pillows were very comfortable. Each day, the towels were replenished & beds were made. The hotel is very clean. I thought the room size was very generous...enough room to move around. A bonus is that there is a microwave & fridge in the room. Next time I come to New York, I will be staying here.

Excellent location, walkable to everything we want to visit in Manhattan. The staff were all very friendly and nice - reception and rooms. Special mention for Natasha at reception when we checked in - we had a really warm welcome.

Excelent location. Just two stops away from time square so if you are looking to catch a broadway show at 7 pm, you can leave from your room as late as 6:15 pm with a cuppa coffee made in your own room in the lovely coffee machine. The property is on a street full of flower shops and plant nurseries, which just instantly put you in a good mood as you walk through rows of plants and flowers to get from the subway station to the hotel. A Duane Reade pharmacy, loads of cafes and restaurants are just around the corner. The bed is perfect. Not too soft. Not too hard. Having a microwave and fridge in every room is a great plus. Also I got an early check in at 11:30 am as my room was ready. I was totally mentally prepared to leave luggage with them and come back to check in around 3 to 4 pm. So getting my keys even before noon was a super pleasant surprise.Housekeeping staff Glenny's on my floor was fantastic. Sam in lobby security is a charmer. John Mary at the reception is lovely. She collected my Amazon delivery packages and even offered to get them sent up to the room. Fatima helped me check out and suggested a lovely cab service to the JFK airport which turned out even cheaper than the Flat rate of the yellow cabs for JFK.

amazing location. we felt central to everything- walking distance to Times Square or to a subway. we took transit from JFK airport and got off at Penn station. the hotel is just 3.5 blocks away - easy walk. the daily continental breakfast (value $15 USD) was decent (no cooked eggs/bacon/ sausage) but they did have made to order Belgium waffles and plenty of other options which worked for our families. the dining space was also very nice and bright and modern. lots of inexpensive eating options within a block or two distance including $3 empanadas and a lovely, very clean deli with a huge variety of food. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and customer-focused. I loved receiving text messages from the staff checking in our stay! the room has a fridge, coffee maker and microwave and did not need to request for this. the street is filled with flower vendors, which we loved!
